Stay at the Hampton Inn and Suites, Green River, Wyoming!

The Hampton Inn and Suites of Green River is located just off Interstate 80 on the edge of Green River, Wyoming. The location is beautiful! The hotel sits in a sort of valley surrounded by rock-crested mountains. Management had the inspired idea of lighting up the hills located directly behind the hotel showing off the rocky peaks, creating an awesome evening and nighttime vista.

Green River, Wyoming sits on the edge of the Flaming Gorge Reservoir and National Recreational Area. The Flaming Gorge Recreational area totals 200,000 acres and draws people from all over the United States to fish and camp. Green River is also the starting point for the Wild Horse Scenic Loop. This scenic loop starts right at the Hampton Inn and runs 50+ miles through the hills and valleys offering sightings of wild horses as well as elk, antelope, deer, and longhorn sheep. Although the road is a combination of dirt and rock, the drive itself is worth the trip! (Be sure to bring a camera.) Downtown Green River offers a variety of eateries, quaint shops and sightseeing stops that make a stay in Green River enjoyable. The Green River itself runs through downtown and provides kayaking areas, picnic spots and bike paths set up for the whole family to enjoy.

As always, this writer seeks out pet friendly hotels and unfortunately, this Hampton Inn does not accept pets. This should not discourage a stay though as there is so much to see in this beautiful piece of Wyoming and a little research shows that the Green River area veterinarians offer boarding facilities, making it easy to arrange a pet-hotel for your furry friend.
